Took advantage of a beautiful fall afternoon at Eagle Bend to play my first full round of 18 holes with the hickory sticks. Shot 98, which can ruin my weekend when I play with modern clubs, but the hickories have helped me become more patient with myself and much less critical. One takeaway from today: I hit several nice approach shots with clubs that required some considerable repair. It feels great when you hit a solid shot with these clubs, but it’s especially satisfying when it’s one you had to nurse back to playing condition. #hickorygolf #hickorygolfers #hickorygolfclubs
